Shopping online for cheap apartments just became easier. MyCheapApartments.com was launched in 2009 in order to help consumers more efficiently find cheap apartments for rent. We start by aggregating a comprehensive selection of cheap apartment listings from leading providers like Rent, ForRent, Apartment Guide, Move, RentWiki, Apartment Finder, Apartment Search & Rent Bits. Next, we rate all the apartments with Cheap Scale(R), indicating the affordability of each property relative to similar nearby properties. This calculation accounts for rental rates and unit sizes but not quality or location considerations. Thanks for visiting MyCheapApartments.com, the best place on the web to rent cheap apartments.
Our Mission
Shelter for the Homeless is a safe and caring environment that serves lower Fairfield County by providing temporary housing to homeless men, striving to obtain permanent supportive housing and services for men and women tailored to meet their relevant needs, and empowering people to help themselves achieve their greatest level of self-sufficiency.
Our Vision
To be the best haven of hope, providing solutions for persons experiencing homelessness.
Description: Penobscot Community Health Care (PCHC) assumed ownership and operation of Hope House in June of 2010 and now operates the second largest homeless shelter in Maine serving more than 69 men and women each evening with overflow capacity up to 100 people. This is the only shelter north of Portland accepting the homeless that are engaging in substance abuse. PCHC provides a day program for the homeless in the greater Bangor area at this location where previously only overnight services were offered. The day program offers a safe haven from the streets, a variety of therapy and skill building groups, direct access to the on-site medical clinic, assistance with social services, and support in moving to transitional or permanent housing.
The Good Samaritan Haven is an overnight emergency homeless shelter serving singles and families, and is the only homeless shelter in the area. Half of all guests are from Washington County, a quarter come from other areas of Vermont and the remainder are from the rest of the country. Whether passing through or looking to settle again soon, all are welcomed and there is no charge for any services.
In 2009, we served over 4,500 meals, provided support services, hope and opportunity to over 325 people and assisted more than 75 people in obtaining or remaining in affordable housing. It's easy to be a "Good Samaritan" in Central Vermont.
